Happiness is essentially a state of going somewhere wholeheartedly, one-directionally, without regret or reservation.

Istanbul carries the distinctive honor of being the only city in the world to straddle two continents, Europe and Asia. There is no better way to experience this wonder than to take a relaxing cruise along the clear green Bosphorus strait that divides the two worlds, and I did just that on a sunny, spring day. Seeing the city from the water is a popular tourist activity (about $35 per person, which includes lunch) and a great way to admire the architectural jewels of Istanbul, from distinguishable sights to opulent palaces to simple wooden summer homes.
